Day 1: Peso da Régua | Pinhão | Vila RealMorning: Departure from the points of origin to the Alto Douro Wine Region, designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2001. Lunch at a local restaurant.
Afternoon: Travel to Pinhão via the EN222, renowned for its stunning views of the Douro terraces. In Pinhão, enjoy a 1-hour river cruise between Pinhão and Romaneira, one of the most beautiful stretches of the Douro Valley. Continue to Vila Real, with free time to explore the historic centre.
Evening: Dinner and accommodation.
Day 2: S. Martinho da Anta | Sabrosa | Favaios | ProvesendeMorning: Visit S. Martinho da Anta and the Miguel Torga House-Museum. Continue to Sabrosa for a visit to the Miguel Torga Centre.
Afternoon: Head to Favaios for a walking tour to discover its fountains, chapels, main church, and the historical landmarks of the old Douro Demarcated Region. Visit a traditional bakery and the Favaios Wine Cooperative. In Provesende, enjoy a walk to admire the village's rich heritage.
Evening: Dinner and accommodation.
Day 3: Salzedas | Ucanha | TaroucaMorning: Departure to Salzedas, with a visit to the Salzedas Monastery, dating back to the 12th century, and the small Jewish quarter of the village. Lunch at a local restaurant.
Afternoon: Visit the Murganheira Cellars, including a sparkling wine tasting. Continue to Ucanha to see the Fortified Bridge, the Old Abbey, the Main Church, and the 17th-century pillory. End with a visit to the Monastery of St. John of Tarouca.
Evening: Dinner and accommodation.
Day 4: Lamego
Morning: Explore Lamego, one of Portugal's oldest cities, with Roman origins and reconquered from the Moors in 1089 by Ferdinand I of León. Visit the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Remedies, located at the top of the monumental staircase. Discover Lamego’s medieval quarter, with visits to the Castle and the Cathedral, showcasing the city's historical and cultural richness. Lunch at a local restaurant.
Afternoon: Return to the points of origin.
